Jamie Springer Spaniel

Just before Christmas 2008 Allan Sims, one of the Charity Trustees, received at his home in West Chiltington, Sussex a shoebox sized parcel addressed to Jamie the Springer Spaniel Sniffer Dog – somewhere in Afghanistan. The sender had put his name and address as John Evans, Abergele.

uk4u Thanks! Recognition

Wing Commander Charles Wookey has worked with the uk4u Thanks! Trustees since 2005 helping to organise and deliver the annual Christmas Box gift to our Service personnel deployed on operations on 25 December who are away from their families and loved ones. As secretary to the MOD Christmas Box Committee, his organisational skills have been used to good effect. Over 100,000 boxes have been delivered the world over wherever our Service men and women are on operations. In March 2010, he was asked and accepted to become a trustee. In recognition of his work on the charity’s behalf, he has been awarded a Chief of Defence Materiel’s commendation.
