With just 50 days to go until Christmas, military personnel are reminding kind-hearted members of the public to show support through service charities this Christmas – rather than overloading the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) with unsolicited mail to Afghanistan.
The Minister for the Armed Forces Mr Andrew Robathan encourages the public to support uk4u to ensure Service personnel are remembered at Christmas and receive a gift from the nation.
uk4u, with help from one of its long standing sponsors,Cooneen, Watts & Stone, has provided 500 fleece blankets to supplement the Aeromed Comfort Enhanced Pack given to wounded service personnel being airlifted back to the UK for medical treatment.
At the uk4u Christmas Lunch 2010, sponsors Cooneen Watts and Stone submitted the highest bid for the Royal Hospital Chelsea exclusive tour and lunch for six persons. The company kindly donated the prize to uk4u to invite their own guests.
We rely on your generousity.
Help us to reach our to as many of our troops as possible.
