Inner Wheel District 20 supports uk4u!
At the October 2011 Inner Wheel District Picnic, Carol Price Inner Wheel District 20 Overseas Service Organiser, committed the clubs in the district to support uk4u for the coming year. During the evening the clubs raised an amazing amount of over £1.5k through a variety of stalls, raffle and collection tins. Sally Little, uk4u Director and Trustee, made a presentation to the ladies, explaining the aims of the charity and the work going on throughout the year to send over 22,000 Christmas Boxes to the UK Armed Forces personnel who are serving overseas on
operational duty and away from their families and loved ones on Christmas Day. She received a very positive response and support from the club members.
Throughout the year, the clubs continued to support the uk4u Christmas Boxes, and at the District AGM in June 2012, Sally was presented with a cheque for £1741.51, (together with smaller additional cheques from individual clubs). She thanked the club members for their very generous support over the year, especially Carol who nominated uk4u as the charity to support for the year.
