Managing Committee

uk4u Thanks! is unusual, if not unique, in having a managing committee of seven consisting of the four Directors (and Trustees) of the charity plus three members of the MoD; a representative from the Deputy Chief of Defence Staff (Personnel), Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff from Permanent Joint Headquarters and a representative from the MoD's Corporate Events Team. 

This unusual arrangement allows a beneficial partnering arrangement with the MoD which helps to support the MoD's efforts to avoid unsolicited mail disrupting the global supply chain.  And it helps to ensure that the gift boxes contain items that are useful and welcomed!

uk4u Thanks! Reinforcements arrive!

With the generous support of the Bradford & Bingley, the uk4u Thanks! Trustees had reinforcements during 2010. 

Natalie Lundy, who works part time at Bradford & Bingley, was seconded to uk4u Thanks! for 3 months from September to December 2010 to develop a database of sponsors, advise on potential new corporate sponsors and help to develop the existing links that the Trustees have forged with their current company sponsors. 

The Trustees were pleased to welcome her to the team.
